Jean Dewasne AppThe painter Jean Dewasne disappeared in 1999, and worked 50 years of career in the service of the abstract art. At the same time practitioner and theoretician, he developed his own artistic system in the 1940s and continued to pursue the path he has drawn.
Until now, the Museums of France kept very few of its works. With the donation of his widow, Mythia Dewasne, the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Cambrai now has an important and original study material. The collection held at the Musée de Cambrai is made up of more than a hundred drawings and silkscreen prints and a selection of pictorial works representative of its production as Studio Pôle or the four panels of the mural painting for the Grande Arche de la Defense in Paris.
The Peinture Fraîche application aims to showcase its creative process, its research, and the intermediate steps to its works.
